Morning Notes from Arts Week

During Arts Week at school, the mornings begin with music. As students enter the campus, the air is filled with melodies performed by classmates who bring their instruments to life.
Today, I was thrilled to be chosen by my music teacher to play alongside another Grade 10 student. He performed the Star Wars theme—smooth, confident, and cheered on by his friends. I followed with the theme from Oppenheimer. Notes flew from the keyboard in quick bursts, echoing across the hall, as if unlocking the start of a vibrant new day.
When I finished, my music teacher and our vice principal clapped loudly and called for an encore. Overjoyed, I sat down again, playing for teachers and students streaming through the hall.
I felt so happy in that moment. I hope my performance gave everyone who passed by a perfect start to their day.
Music is the language of God.
